a Numae Fil. fluxerunt, quamquamplebeii: cognominibus Mathone, Atticô, Musâ, Molone, Flaccô et Vitulô distincti. Summos Romae honores adepti fuerunt. Sunt qui Pomponios ante Urbem conditam fuisse scribant maiorumque gentium Patricios existimant eos fuisse, ex qua gente fuit Faustulus Romuli educator. Duplex forte etiam Pomponiorum gens fuit.
